Dr. Aley Kalapila discusses the clinical manifestations, diagnosis, and treatment of toxoplasma encephalitis (TE) for people with HIV. TE is caused by Toxoplasma gondii, a protozoan parasite that can infect humans and cause encephalitis in people with HIV who have advanced immunosuppression.
